Our client approached us wanting to modernise their home, improve indoor–outdoor flow, and create a functional balcony space for entertaining. The existing balcony and rear of the home were dated, weather-worn, and no longer suited their lifestyle. They were ready for a fresh start.

The Works

The project involved a full transformation, including:

• Demolition of the existing balcony and removal of the rear section of the house

• Rebuilding and extending the lounge room to create a larger, light-filled living space

• Installing a new sliding door to connect the lounge directly to the balcony

• Constructing a new balcony structure with a durable steel frame and LVL joists

• Compressed sheet substrate & waterproofing membrane to ensure long-lasting protection

• Premium 600x600 tiles for a modern, low-maintenance finish

• Slot drain installation for discreet and effective water management

• Frameless glass balustrade to maximise the coastal views and create a sleek, contemporary look

• Ironbark timber stairs providing easy access to the new balcony and adding a natural warmth to the overall design

The Result
